The lake's clean, clear water is perfect for swimming right off your private dock. Bring your kayaks, paddleboards, or rent a boat from nearby marinas. The water warms up nicely by July and stays swimmable through early September.
Hermit Lake is known for its excellent fishing. Cast for smallmouth and largemouth bass, rainbow trout, landlocked salmon, and lake trout. Early morning and evening are prime times, when the lake is glass-calm and the fish are biting.
